The case was transferred to National Investigation Agency (NIA) by the Punjab government.BJP State President Vijay Sample condemned the killing and called for an all party meet to discuss the deteriorating law and order situation in the state. Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader and Leader of Opposition Sukhpal Khaira also slammed Captain Amarinder Singh-led government for failing to maintain law and order in the state leading to targeted killings.”There are repeated political murders taking place in the state. Instead of stepping up investigation, the government transferred the RSS leader’s murder case to NIA. Will the government transfer all cases to NIA? What about Punjab Police? Punjab needs a regular Home Minister,” said Khaira.
