Employees went on a pen down strike against the deputy commissioner for what they said humiliating their colleague in full public view.”I am a post graduate in English. I have also done BEd. Since there is lot of unemployment, I got the job of GRS. On the fateful day the deputy commissioner forced me to remove my jacket and made spectacle out of it. Later the video became viral. My family and I are unable to face people because of the humiliation we suffered. I want justice,” said Kumar.District Development Commissioner, however, said during a grievance camp he received complaints about non-payment of NREGA dues.”Since GRS is a functionary at village level, I spotted him and saw him wearing good clothes–pant, sweater and jacket. I made him understand and warned that if I receive complaints again I will take action. I have not taken any action. It is my duty to first convince the employees please do not commit any wrong. I told him the people from Gujjar community work as daily wagers and earn Rs 6000 and you compare your living standard with them”, Rana said.
