Continuing his tirade against the Congress, PM Narendra Modi on Monday said in Nadiad that unlike Congress, he does not have anyone to think of other than the country.”I am sitting in Delhi since 3.5 years and after I came, I saw that they had emptied the ‘Tijori’. They would just work on how to get work of their relatives done, and then, if time and money is left, they would think about the country. Do I have to collect money for anyone or am I worried for anyone? I do not have anyone except you. You have seen me as a CM for 14 years and as a PM for 3.5 years. There is not even a single day that I felt like resting.”He said, “They have issues with me, Morarji Desai, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, but why against development. Those who have cycle, don’t they wish to have a scooter. Doesn’t a tenant wish to have a house, is this not development?”In their speeches, Congress alleged that there are no good hospitals or roads in Gujarat. I want to ask them, “Have you opened a hospital that I shut down? Did you constructed roads and I made potholes on them?”He said, “My friends in Congress say that Modi works for industrialists. 30 crore poor had never seen doors of the bank under the reign of those who ran votebank in the name of poor. And today, those 30 crore poor have opened bank accounts. While the rich flaunt their debit cards at various places, to empower the poor, we have given debit cards to 22 crore people. Is this not ‘Vikas’?” Reminding people of presence of Congress, he added, “The Congress went out from Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Bihar, West Bengal, Assam, Manipur, Arunachal, Sikkim, Goa, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, MP, Chhatisgarh, Jharkhand, UP, Uttarakhand and J&K.” He told crowd, “I will only be happy if lotus blooms in each and every booth. Ready to take responsibility?”
