A large cache of illegal liquor was seized in Dungarpur district of Rajasthan. Around 3000 cartons of liquor worth over Rs 2 crore, have been seized by the police from a shut-down factory. According to official sources, the liquor of different brands and made in different states was to be smuggled into Gujarat.The Rajasthan police had been running a drive over the last 15 days against illegal liquor. Acting on information by Manoj Samaria, acting CI, Dungarpur, the police raided a shut-down soap stone factory under the Bachiwala thana area and found the liquor loaded on various vehicles, ready to be sent out.One person by the name of Rajendra has been arrested while others managed to get away.Police has confiscated thirteen vehicles; three trucks, one Bolero pickup, one Magic tempo, one Tata 407, two Eicher mini trucks, four motorcycles and one scooty.Also readPhase 1 voting today, BJP hopes to grab early initiative in South Gujarat and SaurashtraThe 3000 cartons contained IMFL made in Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab and Arunachal Pradesh and banned in Rajasthan.
