It started 27 years ago when he went to meet his ailing relative, but instead ended up spending half his life in a hostile foreign country.On Monday, the unit picked up one Hassan Khan, a native of Siyalon Ki Dhani village under Sam Police Station of Jaisalmer district. “Hassan’s sister Soni was married to one Sumer Khan, a native of Kharado village in Amarkot district of Pakistan. When he learnt that Sumer had cancer, he approached a tout and took his help to cross the border into Pakistan,” said Rajiv Dutta, Additional SP, Border Intelligence Unit.However, around two years ago, Hassan’s mother and brother travelled to Pakistan and informed him of his father’s ill health and he then again crossed into India illegally,” Dutta said.After making this trip in April, Hassan then vanished from the village. “he has claimed that he moved to Gujarat and Maharashtra and was employed as a labourer.
