<!– /11440465/Dna_Article_Middle_300x250_BTF –>The Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation (MMRC) on Thursday said that it will prepare a documentary on the ongoing work of Colaba-Bandra-Seepz Metro-3 underground corridor by appointing a private agency.The MMRC’s aim is to telecast the documentary globally to create awareness about the project implementation and its benefits.In the past, the MMRC had appointed private agencies to handle its social media presence, and PR agencies to carry out its communication.The MMRC has been facing flak over the rehabilitation of residents in the Girgaon and Kalbadevi area construction of Metro car depot inside Aarey Milk Colony, felling of trees for the construction of Metro-3. Also, a few citizens from South Mumbai have moved the Bombay High Court over the vibrations due to the tunnelling work of Metro-3 and MMRC’s alleged violation of noise pollution rules at the Metro construction site.An MMRC official, said, “The documentary exercise is merely for the record and to educate.” However, the MMRC official also said that they are not aware of the total cost for the making of the documentary and have called for expression of interest (EOI) floated dated November 2, 2017.The EOI floated by the MMRC on Thursday, reads, “The MMRC invites Expression of Interest from interested agencies working in the field of multimedia and film production for the work preparing high-definition documentary (audio-visual) on the implementation of Mumbai Metro Line 3 covering special events and activities for the entire project development phase.”ABOUT THE ROUTEThe Metro-3 corridor that will have 27 underground stations will be a crucial north-south link for commuters across the city.
The metro corridor will connect major Central Business Districts (CBD) such as Nariman Point, Bandra-Kurla Complex (BKC) and Seepz in Andheri.
