A viral picture which claimed that valuables from a female victim were stolen as family members complained to the police and railway authorities.Meanwhile, the police cleared that the valuables were in fact kept in safe custody and were returned back to the family members. The family members were satisfied with the gesture and had no further complaints in regard to the alleged theft.Rajiv Jain, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Zone 5, said, “The confusion on social media led to chaos. The valuables were handed over to the police for safekeeping and were in the custody of Dadar police. Nothing was stolen.”
