The 14-day event is a huge draw for businessmen, traders and a common man for the cultural melange it is offering this year with more than 3,000 exhibitors and over 200 companies participating in the fair.Different states that have participated in the exhibition have put their heritage, art and craft on display with traditional highlights. From straw hats to Modi jackets, visitors are having a field day peeking into the culture of more than 26 states. The state partner for this year Jharkhand is showcasing its sea of natural resources, a lot of which is a boon for various health issues. For those suffering from diabetes, a visit to Jharkhand pavillion will leave a sweet aftertaste in the mouth.Entrepreneurs, some of whom hail from tribal areas of the state, are offering five different types of honey touted as effective in controlling sugar levels. Of the available flavours of litchi, jamun etc, it is the neem variety that is the surprise package. With not a hint of bitterness in it, it is flying off the shelves at the IITF. The state is also displaying its achievements in different industrial sectors, including heavy machinery.Another state that is drawing selfie aficionados is Goa, that has decorated its entrance based on a church-wedding theme. Decked up in white flowers, complete with sofas in soft tones of white, the arena exudes warmth, prompting many a visitors to click selfies here.Madhya Pradesh, that boasts of national wildlife parks and huge green cover, is using tigers and jungle boy Mowgli to attract adults and kids alike.Among the northeastern states exhibiting artifacts, Manipur’s bags and slippers made from grass is getting popular here. Made from freshwater grass, the USP of these products lies in being eco-friendly, which are nominally priced at starting tag of Rs 350.The IITF 2017 kicked off on November 14 with Startup India, Standup India as its main theme for this year. Vietnam is the partner country while Kyrgyzstan is the focus country.
