West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee lashed out at state BJP president Dilip Ghosh on Monday for his comments regarding the hate murder of Md Afrazul Khan, a labourer from Malda district of Bengal who was killed in Rajasthan.“There are so many people who had come to West Bengal from UP and Bihar and made this their place to live and work. Can I ask all of them to leave Bengal? Does Dilip Ghosh know for how long this has been going on? Aren’t people like him ashamed to make such comments?” Mamata said speaking at a public meeting at Kanksa in West Burdwan district. She said that people from Bengal who had been working in other states, if they intended to come back to Bengal out of a feeling of insecurity, the state would give them a financial assistance of Rs 50,000 to set up a business. “Leaders who are mindless make such comments. People of Bengal will not forgive such persons. Whether he was a Hindu or a Muslim. We believe it has been a death of a human being. When we carry out a welfare project we don’t cater to any particular person. All school goers get bicycles irrespective of their religion. Girls of all religion get Kanyashree benefits.
