<!– /11440465/Dna_Article_Middle_300x250_BTF –>Announcing that the state government would develop a sports science centre at Balewadi on the outskirts of Pune city, Minister for Sports Vinod Tawde on Thursday said that it would provide players all facilities under one roof.Tawde on Thursday felicitated sportspersons who have won medals for the country at the Olympics or Paralympics, and the coach for Indian women’s cricket team, which was a runner-up at the World Cup tournament.He said that the protocol department along with the sports department would now from now take care of the visa formalities for the players representing the state, or the country in international sporting events.Olympics silver medalist Sakshi Mallik, cricketer Poonam Raut, and other medalists and participants including Kavita Raut and Lalita Babar were felicitated at Sahyadri Guesthouse. Mumbai Cricket Association president Ashish Shelar was also present.
