AAP served IT notice of Rs 30 crores, Kejriwal calls it ‘political vendetta’

All these were accounted for and shown in books of accounts. This is a height of political vendetta,” Kejriwal tweeted. Income Tax Department sources said the notice was issued by the assessing officer under section 156 (notice of demand).They said it was issued in the “normal course”, where ITRs are picked up for scrutiny by the assessing officer. “As the case was getting time barred, the notice was issued to the concerned assessee. “Similar notices have been issued to other entities too. The notice of demand (to AAP) is for income arising from various sources including donations,” a senior official said.

Judge G P N Vinod directed them to pay the fine amount to the legal heirs of the deceased Ashraf. The prosecution case was that the six had barged into an automobile shop when Ashraf had gone there to buy a vehicle and hacked him to death.The incident happened on February 5, 2002. The trial began in October 2011. The prosecution produced 25 documents to prove the charges, public prosecutor B P Sasidharan said. Political rivalry was the motive for the murder, he added.

The accused have been identified,” a top police official here said.Another police official in Guruvayur said the car in which the killers had travelled belonged to a CPI(M) worker, whose elder brother Fazil was killed four years ago.Anandan was an accused in that case. The 23-year-old RSS worker was riding a motorcycle when he was attacked with swords and knives, allegedly by CPI(M) workers, who came in a car. The RSS worker was cremated this evening. While the BJP blamed CPI(M) for the murder, the Marxist party in a statement yesterday denied its role in the incident.The BJP called for a ‘hartal’ (strike) today at the temple town of Guruvayur and Manaloor in protest. Shops and businesses downed shutters. Vehicles remained off roads. <!– /11440465/Dna_Article_Middle_300x250_BTF –>The Kerala High Court on Wednesday allowed a member of the transgender community to declare her sex as woman in the application for a state government job.Justice K Vinod Chandran gave the interim order while considering a plea filed by the transgender in which it complained that there were only two options — male and female — in the section seeking information about the sex of the person applying for the job.The examination for the job is conducted by the State Public Service Commission.The transgender, who is a post graduate in Mathematics, pleaded before the court that a separate column for the transgender community be included in the PSC application form to help them in applying for the government job.Lack of such a column is creating difficulties for qualified people from the transgender community in applying for government jobs, the petitioner said.
