<!– /11440465/Dna_Article_Middle_300x250_BTF –>Indian and Isreali Army on Tuesday decided to further enhance the cooperation between the two countries, picking up the thread from where Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his Israeli counterpart Benjamin Netanyahu left during the former’s visit to Jerusalem.Chief of the Ground Forces of Israel Major General Yaakov (Kobi) Barak visited the Northern Army Command Headquarters at Udhampur on Tuesday and held talks with top army commanders on varied issues.Accompanied by his spouse Orit Barak and top officials from the Embassy of Israel in New Delhi, Major General Yaakov (Kobi) Barak called on the General Officer Commanding in Chief (GoC-in-C) of the Northern Command Lieutenant General Devraj Anbu and discussed matters of mutual interest during the interaction.”The delegation expressed full satisfaction in further pursuing enhanced cooperation between both countries. Mrs Orit Barak accompanied by Mrs Gowri Anbu, Regional President, Army Wives Welfare Association, Northern Command also paid a visit to Asha School at Udhampur,” said Colonel NN Joshi, defence spokesman at Northern Command Headquarters.The top Israeli army commander’s visit to Northern Command, one of the crucial and strategically important army formations, comes three months after Prime Minister Modi visit to Israel. During PM Modi’s visit, both the countries vowed to fight the evil forces of terrorism.
