They had promised not to thrash him up in return.According to officials, constable Harinkumar Gadhvi and ASI Mahidharsinh Vaghela were caught accepting the bribe amount in Gandhinagar, near the Vansa APMC market on Monday.ACB said that ASI Vaghela was investigating a case against the complainant’s son and three others. He had allegedly demanded the bribe for not beating or abusing the accused in police custody, and to present them before court for bail at the earliest.Constable Gadhvi was caught red handed by ACB sleuths while he was accepting the money, and talking to Vaghela about it over phone.”The cash was recovered from the cop,” ACB said, adding that audio and video devices had been used in the operation.
