<!– /11440465/Dna_Article_Middle_300x250_BTF –>Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray raised the pitch for fixing railway infrastructure in Mumbai by threatening to stall work for the Centre’s upcoming bullet train project.”Until the present infrastructure of local railways is made better, not a single brick will be allowed to be placed for bullet train in Mumbai,” said Raj Thackeray.Reacting to the lament that the stampede at Elphinstone Road station on Friday was caused due to heavy rain, he said, “It is not the first time that it rained in Mumbai. And they (Railway) say it happened due to rains?”He added that he would lead a morcha on 5 October to the Western Railway headquarters in Mumbai at Churchgate and demand answers. “A list of issues related to Mumbai locals will be given to Railway on 5 Oct with a deadline. If things don’t get better, will see to it. We will also give a deadline to throw out illegal hawkers from station bridges. If it is not complied with, then we’ll act on our own,” Thackeray threatened.”Why do we need terrorists or enemies like Pakistan? It seems our own Railway is enough to kill people,” the MNS chief lashed out.
